The present Acting Director – Attorney Services is Miss. Verna Nirsimloo. ​

​​The Director, Attorney Services heads and supervises the State Attorney Cadre and is responsible for the administration of all cases in which she is authorised or instructed to act as an Attorney for the Government or any of its departments.

The Director, Attorney Services tenders legal advice to government departments and ministries. In addition, she assists the Solicitor-General in matters pertaining to Mutual Legal Assistance and the Parliamentary Counsel in the drafting, consolidation and revision of legislations.
